mtv legit airs on this friday night
it will show old 90s music videos ren and stimpy, and the state! i never saw the state. i bought it on vhs for $2 a couple weeks ago and sold it on ebay! its coming out on dvd very soon. |

They're already showing some of this stuff on weeknights, including The Young Ones. I love that they're doing this, I have absolutely no objection to
90's nostalgia gimmicks especially re: 90's cable programming.

it was funny they played about 30 seconds of the maxx, then back to commercials.
what a lot of commercials in this block!!! it reminded me of vh1's 'i love the 90s'. when the guys would talk over the music videos about 'sabotage having two cameras'. or that FELDY FROM KORN likes brittney spears and nsync. way too much state skits, that show feels like MAD tv. one or two big giant ads for some gay mtv show that got annoying. mtv2 legit s1e1 gets a B- its fucking fantastic that they are playing maxx ,aeon flux, beavis and butthead, (and celebrity deathmatch). but its in a terrible format, cut up and mixed with artists. 'high as a kite' redman and methodman talk about blur - song 2. was nice watching ren and stimpy afterwards tho.

i dont remember that skit.
the first skit was $240 of pudding - not so great, feels like a madtv/snl skit that goes on too long. like the 'erotic cakes' with patrick stewart the 'dip my balls in it' skit - was good, its all in the delivery. others i zoned out of ... |

hey here's something to say and I guess this is the best place to say it but MTV HD is the biggest bullshit of a channel of all time, even beating out
regular MTV, because MTV films all their shows in HD but they play them in SD, so even on MTV HD channel their shows are letterboxed on all four sides, and not
just for some of their shows but ALL OF THEM, meaning that they are too fucking stupid to figure out how to play stuff in HD because the people who make MTV
are equally as stupid as the people who watch MTV.

legit got worse, now i rate it a D-.
if they add any more commercials or cut any more of the toons, the annoying to good ratio will go the wrong way
the mtv oddities intro is on mtv's site tho, in the first legit episode. i used to be a fan of celebrity deathmatch, but now it feels so shitty. |
